Electro Neurology Diagnostics Technician

Provides assistance in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological disorders. Regularly and according to established standards and procedures, performs electroencephalograms (EEG), Ambulatory EEG, Long Term Video Monitoring, and electrocerebral inactivity (ECI ) recordings. Accurately completes paperwork and billing according to policy. Counsels patients and/or family members regarding procedure(s) to be performed. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as it applies to the profession(s) in the field of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology and adheres to same.

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years occupationally specific education beyond high school with 1-2 years of previous work related experience OR a reasonable combination of education and experience. Certification through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) or the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) highly preferred.
