Job Description
The Electronics Test Technician conducts a variety of electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure product operation in accordance with specifications. This role requires the application of electronic principles to determine equipment malfunctions and the use of skills to restore equipment to operation. The technician will troubleshoot non-conforming or malfunctioning products down to the component level using schematics and original specifications as guides.
ResponsibilitiesConduct electronic and electromechanical tests on systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts.Apply electronic principles to determine equipment malfunctions.Troubleshoot and repair non-conforming or malfunctioning products down to the component level.Use hand tools such as multimeters, voltage meters, and oscilloscopes to perform electrical inspections and tests.Collaborate with Engineers from Development, Manufacturing, and Quality departments, as well as end customers, for testing and troubleshooting.Handle a variety of products including R&D prototypes, pre-shipment inspections, warranty claims, and return claims.Essential SkillsAbility to apply electronic theory and test methods to troubleshoot and diagnose electronics down to the component level.Knowledge of schematics for electronic and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.Experience with electronic assembly using hand tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.Experience with electrical testing such as hipot tests.Proficiency in soldering, including both Through-Hole and SMT.Additional Skills & QualificationsAS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or a similar field. OR Military training/experience Experience troubleshooting electronics with hand tools to the component level.Experience with electrical testing and component testing.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
