As an Electronic Technician, you will join our ProductionTechnical Services Department at our Aurora, Colorado facility. Please note that our factory operates 24/7, and this position involves rotating shifts.
Your 'day to day’
Maintain the electrical equipment conditions/standards and perform activities on the assigned equipment to ensure continuous and reliable operation and maximize production and product quality according to PMI safety standards.Expert in performing various duties in the electric, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical areas, including instrumentation diagnosing, troubleshooting, and programming.You'll be responsible for constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining our equipment, components, devices, or systems. You'll ensure our systems and components meet established specifications. Proficient in reading Engineering drawings and electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.Ability to read and write ladder logic and understand equipment programs. Control Logix experience highly desired.Perform interventions on all electrical & automation equipment of the production asset park, including peripheral equipment.Ensure that the process and products meet the quality and productivity standards and take corrective actions if needed.Resolve breakdowns and perform proper equipment settings and adjustments or technical modifications. Identify the source of each technical problem, take appropriate actions to solve it, and eliminate the possibility of re-occurrence.Close cooperation with Mechanical Technicians in performing maintenance activities to keep the equipment in essential condition.Analyze performance and quality indicators, support production to achieve KPI objectives, and provide solutions to complex technical issues.Create competitive advantages on existing physical assets by providing innovative technical solutions for strategic company decisions and cost-reduction projects.Manage spare parts availability and proper equipment use. Monitor all technical changes to equipment and update technical manuals. Track software modification and documentation.Support on back-office activities such as the creation of work instructions and standards for electrical tasks.You will maintain records of readings, test results, and data on all assigned equipment.You'll recommend equipment operating and maintenance changes to make unit operation and equipment available.
Who are we looking for:
Proven experience in industrial automation (PLC Step 7, SCADA, electrical cabinets, servo-motion)Electrical CAD (e-plan) and ERP knowledge are considered an asset.Experience in Continuous improvement programs (TPM/LEAN) is considered an asset.3-5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment as an electrical technicianTechnical College degree or University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceAbility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime.Physical ability to stand for 12 hours and perform repetitive tasks.Physical Requirement: The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Microsoft Office literacyFluency in English (verbal & written)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.Good written and verbal communication skillsAbility to follow processes and procedures.Ability to work with others through conflicting personalities.US Citizenship required
Hourly Rate: $ 36.00 per hour.
