Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Emergency Management Coordinator II will lead the development of strategic emergency management plans and program documents to ensure that the Choctaw Nation builds, sustains, and improves the capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and reduce all hazards. You will report to the OEM Manager.
Primary Tasks:
You will maintain comprehensive emergency management plans following federal regulations. Analyze the effectiveness of existing operations and implement improvements in emergency preparedness planning and response. Provide interagency coordination and review of plans, procedures, guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for departments and partners. Provide coordination to emergency management planning and response personnel. You will create all-hazards emergency planning efforts in collaboration with local municipalities, public safety departments, hospital, state, and federal agencies. Provide action under the planning section for all emergency responses and planned events. Maintain all After Action Reports, Improvements Plans, and Corrective Actions. Guide communication between local communities and the Choctaw Nation in planning programs. Help develop and implement emergency preparedness goals. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in emergency management or related field and 3 years' experience in emergency management, plan development, and Continuity of Operations Planning OR seven [7] years of directly related experience in lieu of education. CEM Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 years from the date of hire. Certified in Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program NIMS, 700, 100, 200, 800, 300, and 400.
