EMS Liaison - Fort Worth

JOB SUMMARY

\n

 The EMS Liaison supports and works alongside hospital leadership to develop and implement the EMS service line strategic plan for the surrounding market. Supports positive relationship growth between the hospital, EMS agencies, and medical direction. The EMS Liaison seeks out and executes initiatives that support brand recognition and trust. Identifies opportunities to increase awareness of hospital capabilities working with service line leaders, physicians, and medical direction. Plans for continuing education events and collaborative training among hospital staff and EMS providers. Responsible for outreach and relationship development supporting the hospital strategic growth plan.

** Candidates must have Firefighter/EMS experience!

** Texas Driver’s License (TXDL)
** Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS of BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
** Emerg Med Tech - Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Paramedic (LICPARA): Must have an EMT-P or be a licensed Paramedic.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nBuild relationships among community members, community groups, clinicians and researchers\nIdentifies mutual goals and potential barriers to collecting data and/or delivering interventions in healthcare and community-based settings as well as health needs of people in the community\nCommunicates clearly about overall program goals and specific research or intervention tasks with community representatives, clinicians and researchers.\nDemonstrates current knowledge of EMS practices, protocols, regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures.\nActs as a liaison to and maintains a strong, positive relationship with the hospital and area EMS providers.\nFacilitate EMS performance improvement and quality review by working with local EMS agencies and medical directors.\nPrepares materials and equipment (e.g., voice recorders) needed to gather data or deliver interventions according to protocols and predefined methodologies\nAdministers surveys and conduct focus groups and/or interviews by telephone or in person and documents data collection activities and participant responses accurately and according to protocols\nProtects the anonymity or confidentiality of data as required for the protection and respect of individuals and as stated in standardized protocols\nRuns on health education activities, workshops, classes and reports to all stakeholders about progress on planned tasks and any challenges implementing protocols as written.\nCommunicates concerns or problems encountered in activities/workshops/classes to supervisor in a timely manner to protect the wellbeing of participants and integrity of programs being delivered\nConducts skills training exercises in the community and coaches consumers in self-care strategies and tasks for effectively engaging in healthcare based on standardized protocols\nReviews protocol and seek feedback to ensure continued adherence to standardized protocols\n\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n\nExperience interacting with individuals or groups for the purposes of gathering information, educating or coaching. Examples of relevant experience include leading groups, interviewing individuals, conducting surveys, coaching teams, participating in health education classes, or other experience motivating healthy behavior (e.g. acting as a trainer).\nCompleted or will complete as a requirement for continued employment training in the specific protocols required for data collection or intervention delivery tasks.\nKnowledge in local EMS medical direction protocols, structure, policies, and procedures.\nRecord keeping and proficiency with Microsoft Office.\nThe ability to explicitly communicate and model respect for stakeholders' unique perspectives and goals.\nAbility to accurately document and report on activities according to standardized protocols/operating procedures.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Assoc or Equiv Experience or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       Drivers License (TXDL)
