Job DescriptionPerforms specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.Identifies discrepancies in results.Provides guidance to entry level engineers.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.Designs and develops plumbing systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.Calculates heating and cooling loads for HVAC system design.Collaborates with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate PHE systems into overall building design.Prepares technical specifications and drawings for PHE systems using CAD software.Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for project planning.Participates in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions related to PHE systems.Assists in the preparation of cost estimates and project schedules for PHE components.Stays current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in plumbing, heating, and engineering.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in plumbing, heating, and engineering (PHE) design for multi-use buildingsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hiringProficient in PHE & Fire services Design for Buildings (multi uses)Advanced knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations related to PHE systemsExpert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks softwareStrong understanding of HVAC systems, including load calculations and energy efficiency principlesExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D modeling techniquesFamiliarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with cross-functional teamsProven project management skills, including budgeting and schedulingAbility to perform site visits and assessments as neededCommitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in PHE systems
