Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will perform visual inspections of roadway conditions within your assigned district. Using a tablet, you will document issues such as drainage problems, overgrown vegetation, damaged signs, guardrails, fencing, and faded roadway markings. You will submit these reports in real time while adhering to safety standards set by the company and the Department of Transportation (DOT).

ResponsibilitiesConduct visual inspections of roadways in the assigned district.Document findings such as drainage issues, overgrowth of vegetation, and damaged signage using a tablet.Submit inspection reports in real time while on the road.Plan weekly inspection routes in coordination with the City or County Inspector.Ensure compliance with company and DOT safety standards.Essential SkillsExperience in roadway inspection or a related field.Proficiency in field reporting and the use of digital devices for documentation.Ability to work outdoors independently.Strong work ethic and self-motivation.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to learn and take direction.Experience working autonomously or with minimal supervision.Ability to collaborate with a partner when necessary.Work Environment

The work environment is 100% field-based, operating from a company-provided truck. Travel is limited to the assigned district, with no overnight stays required. The company provides all necessary equipment, including a vehicle, fuel card, and protective clothing. The work schedule is steady year-round, offering a great entry into the civil industry. The position is part of a long-term program with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
