Job Title: Environmental Project Manager
Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist with a strong background in investigation and remediation projects to join our expanding Environmental practice in Irvine, California.
Responsibilities
+ Manage scope, budget, staff scheduling, and internal coordination for various environmental projects.
+ Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
+ Review and analyze data throughout the construction phase.
+ Collaborate with internal and external team members to produce successful projects.
+ Assemble and manage multi-disciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
+ Coordinate with client representatives, regulatory and external stakeholders, and technical subconsultants.
+ Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
+ Interface with clients, including meeting with them regularly for updates and check-ins.
+ Participate in proposal preparation, client interviews, and contract negotiations.
+ Engage in business development activities to foster new business opportunities.
+ Participate in professional associations, including presenting technical papers or participating as a technical committee member.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology.
+ Professional Engineer or Geologist license in the State of California or the ability to obtain the license following employment.
+ Experience with site investigation planning, site remediation design and construction, and operation and maintenance of environmental remediation systems.
+ Comfortable with technical writing and report writing.
+ Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience.
+ Capable of managing a project team, not just individual tasks.

+ Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, technicians, designers, engineers, owners, and other project managers.
+ Demonstrated time management skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessary.
+ Demonstrated skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
+ Ability to assign and manage work.
+ Effective mentoring skills.
Work Environment
The position is based in an urban environment in Irvine, CA, with a 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday). The current staff includes 4 Professional Engineers (PEs), 1 Professional Geologist (PG), and a couple of Geologists in Training (GITs). The office operates on a hybrid model, with employees coming in 3-4 days per week. Senior leaders are present 4-5 days per week for staff questions and mentoring. The office culture promotes a collaborative and teamwork-oriented atmosphere, encouraging employees to prefer coming to the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
