A Carter Lumber Exterior Door Shop Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring all aspects of production to optimize productivity while minimizing operating expenses. Responsible for coordinating and implementing production schedules. Identifies and resolves any staff or production issues in a timely manner. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

Previous supervisor experience in a manufacturing environmentPossess knowledge in loading and shipping methodsStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsProficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and OutlookBi-lingual preferred but not requiredEquipment used includes different computer programs, forklift, banding machines, along with various power, air, and hand toolsPay starting at $24/hrResponsibilities:
Supervision & Development
Oversees the production of exterior door lines. Motivates, leads and trains employees to ensure performance, production and delivery requirements are met. Assists in hiring and counseling employees on problematic situations.

Production & Scheduling
Ensures production schedules are met and that quality products are being produced. Evaluates and suggests improvements in the production. Organizes and prioritizes production and schedules to ensure lead times are met.

Safety
Communicates policies and ensures that employees are following safety standards during production. Inspects machinery to make sure of the proper set up and use.
