**Duration: 12 Months** **Shifts: 1st shift (start time between 6-8AM)** **Onsite/remote/hybrid: ONSITE 100%** **Job Description:** + We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join our Global Real Estate and Facilities team located in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will support facilities mechanical systems, facilities and equipment maintenance teams, reliability engineering, building modifications and new construction to enable the 787 Dreamliner program. + This role involves guiding reactive equipment repairs (hands on), supporting planning and construction projects (requirements definition and project oversight), and exploring opportunities to improve site infrastructure. An ideal candidate will also have control systems knowledge and experience as they relate to industrial HVAC, compressed air systems and paint booth operations. Joining Client in this role means you will have the chance to develop new skills and work in a dynamic environment. **Position Responsibilities:** + Provides support for the mechanical phases of buildings, equipment installations and utility systems. Includes central utility distribution sites and self-contained buildings. + Determines the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (e.g., life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, root cause failure methodology, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.) + Analyzes current conditions and future requirements to recommend infrastructure capital improvements and works with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impacts. + Translates customer requirements into design options with documents and estimates. Identifies appropriate materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodology. + Participates in conceptual design by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, code research, and development of preliminary design elements. + Estimates resource requirements, identifies materials, equipment, and services to establish project scope. + Uses appropriate resources to produce project drawings, specifications, and permit application packages in accordance with project parameters. + Aligns mechanical designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable laws by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials. + Supports construction projects by reviewing contractor proposals; works with government/regulatory agencies; monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performance. + Ensures accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines and as-builts. + Other duties as assigned. + This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. + 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experiences. + Experience supporting or installing HVAC, ventilation, chilled water and/or compressed air building systems in industrial or manufacturing facilities. + 2+ years experience working in an engineering, facilities and/or maintenance role in an industrial or manufacturing environment **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering + 5+ years of experience supporting or installing HVAC, ventilation, chilled water and/or compressed air building systems in industrial or manufacturing facilities. + 2+ years experience troubleshooting, programming or utilizing TRANE, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, Johnson Controls and/or other building automation or equipment control systems. + Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Revit software. + Experience with reactive maintenance for building mechanical systems. **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
