Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will utilize your electromechanical skills to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your role involves installing and troubleshooting vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems to support and grow our service and sales divisions. You will participate in site safety programs to maintain a zero-hazard environment, work professionally to foster customer relations, and demonstrate an understanding of detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Adherence to site fab and Subfab protocol requirements is essential, as is the ability to use various test equipment, hand tools, and power tools. You are expected to maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance while working collaboratively in a team environment.
ResponsibilitiesProvide service and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems.Participate in site safety programs to ensure a zero-hazard environment.Develop and maintain professional customer relations.Understand and follow detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Adhere to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.Utilize test equipment, including test meters, hand tools, and power tools.Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.Collaborate effectively in a team environment.Essential SkillsField service experience in mechanical, electrical, or troubleshooting roles.Ability to read schematics and diagrams.Electromechanical experience.High School Diploma and an Associate degree (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree).1-3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum fields.Positive attitude, energetic and enthusiastic, with a strong willingness to learn.Self-starter with the ability to set priorities and demonstrate initiative.Competency in using test equipment and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent customer interfacing and communication skills.Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods.Completion of training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment.Successful completion of a Physical Capability assessment.Clean driving record.Fluency in written and spoken English, with clear communication abilities.Work Environment
This position is onsite at Intel Ocotillo, involving physical work such as installing and decommissioning semiconductor tools. You will work in a sub fab/cleanroom environment, requiring the use of a respirator for at least 2 hours. Steel-toed boots are required, and the role involves walking 9-10 miles a day and lifting up to 50 lbs. Contractors should be open to approximately 5% travel to other Intel sites, such as Oregon or New Mexico, if work slows down in Phoenix. Contractors can earn certifications and badges, offering opportunities for career advancement and increased hourly rates.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
