Location:

You’ll be reporting to our clients Stirling depot while Covering the Aberdeen, Stonehaven, and Ellon areas, giving you the perfect mix of autonomy in the field with strong team support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Diagnose, service, and repair Volvo construction and miscellaneous equipment within your geographical areaIdentify mechanical issues using technical expertise and advanced diagnostic toolsPromote aftermarket solutions and identify revenue opportunities during customer interactionsBe the face of SMT GB, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction with clear communication and efficient serviceComplete technical reports and real-time electronic timesheets, ensuring accurate documentationOrder and manage parts, maintaining a clean, organised work environment and service vanCoach and support colleagues when needed, sharing your technical knowledge

What We’re Looking For:

Formal engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural, or HGV MechanicsProven experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipmentStrong skills in diagnostics, with expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electricsIT literacy to handle diagnostic software, email, and reporting systemsA valid full UK driving licence and the Right to work in the UK

Bonus if you have:

Welding and fabrication skillsAdvanced troubleshooting abilities in hydraulics, electrics, and emission after-treatment systems (EATS)
