Finance Analyst for Maintenance of Way

The Finance Analyst will support the Maintenance of Way (MoW) Group which consists of individual businesses primarily in North America that supply new, rebuilt, and used equipment and aftermarket parts to maintain rail infrastructure and shuttle railcars. The position will report to the MoW FP&A Manager and will have exposure to multiple business units, functions and leadership levels. Responsibilities include a mix of finance and accounting, including reporting and analyzing financial results as well as providing financial insights to support business decisions across business units.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Assist in the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
+ Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results on a monthly basis
+ Develop financial models to support commercial opportunities
+ Perform account reconciliations and post month end journal entries
+ Conduct data-driven analyses to support management decision making
+ Drive the department expense review process with the department leaders
+ Prepare analyses for the operations group such as labor hours, inventory management, and other relevant KPIs
+ Oversee the inventory cycle count program
+ Execute internal controls over financial reporting
+ Identify and help realize opportunities for continuous improvement in both financial and operational processes
+ Assist with other ad hoc financial analyses and requests to provide real time support to the business
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
+ Ideal candidate has 5+ years of industry experience or 2+ years of public accounting experience – manufacturing experience preferred
+ Prior experience using SYSPRO or a similar ERP system
+ Strong knowledge of US GAAP
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and overall strong technology skills
+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
+ Able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner, especially to those without financial backgrounds
+ Ability to influence cross functionally
+ Continuous improvement mindset
+ Flexibility to work in a dynamic team environment, supporting a variety of financial and accounting needs arising from across the organization
+ Highly developed organizational skills and ability to effectively manage tasks

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$67,400.00-$96,000.00
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com .
