Description Robert Half is actively recruiting for a highly skilled Finance Consultant to join a large, privately held Transportation company. The consultant will be responsible for preparing and validating four key financial reports related to the income statement, all under tight deadlines Must possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform efficiently under high-stress situations, including accommodating last-minute changes in the chart of accounts or adapting to new data submitted by business units near the reporting deadline. This role can be done remote. Key Responsibilities: -Financial Reporting: Prepare and validate company financial statements, with an emphasis on sales, gross margin, and EBITDA reporting. Experience in consolidating capital expenditures is required -Excel Expertise: Use and follow advanced Excel templates to validate data, often involving workbooks with over 50 worksheets -Ad Hoc Reporting: Be ready to generate reporting packs and respond to dynamic, last-minute requests -Presentation Preparation: Create PowerPoint slides using standardized templates for internal and external stakeholders. -Analysis: Conduct monthly financial analysis, including trend and variance analysis, with appropriate commentary. Required Qualifications: -Advanced Excel Skills: Proven expertise in managing large data sets with advanced Excel functions -Foreign Currency Knowledge: Experience working with multiple business units and foreign currencies -High-Pressure Environment: Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and within a fast-paced, startup-like environment -Communication Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all levels of management -Independent Validation: Self-starter capable of ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their own work Requirements • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience managing large datasets and using complex functions. • Strong knowledge of foreign currency operations and multi-business unit financial collaboration. • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. • Demonstrated ability to independently validate and ensure the accuracy of financial data and reports. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, and related functions. • Familiarity with preparing financial statements and consolidating capital expenditures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
