Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Technician to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in floor care services, including cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining various types of flooring. This role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing of VCT, tile, terrazzo, and other floor types
Operate and maintain floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, etc.)
Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas in a professional and efficient manner
Ensure proper labeling and storage of all chemicals and cleaning agents
Assist with other janitorial or custodial duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of proven floor care experience required
Familiarity with floor machines and equipment is essential
Knowledge of safety standards and cleaning practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or formal training in floor care a plus
Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial cleaning environments
Pay Rate:
Pay is $20-22 hr DOE.
