Job Summary

\n

The Foundation Officer identifies and cultivates donor relationships. They maintain ongoing relationships with assigned donors, focusing on major gifts.

\n

Hybrid position:  Will work onsite in College Station 2 days per week, one day onsite in Brenham, TX.  Will also travel to Temple or Georgetown for quarterly meetings.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nDevelops and implements strategies for the solicitation and acquisition of major, capital, endowment, and planned gifts\nIdentifies new prospects and builds relationships to advance major gift solicitations. Maintains a major-gift-level portfolio of 50-150 team members.\nPlans and participates in programs to increase the visibility of the Foundation and BSWH to internal and external constituencies.\nEstablishes and maintains effective relationships with volunteer leadership, institutional heads and peers to maximize total gift revenue.\nEnsures that proper donor acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship occurs in a timely way according to BSWH guidelines.\nPerforms other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous way.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nAbility to work with and motivate a wide range of people, including donors, prospects, board members, physicians, administrators, volunteers, and staff.\nFamiliarity with the moves management methods and techniques of gift solicitation with a particular emphasis on major gift donors.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of prospect research tools available and knowledge of how to access and use those products.\nDocumented track record of success in coordinating and securing gifts.\nFamiliarity with Raiser's Edge is a plus.\n\n

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualificationEXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
