Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician (6AM - 230PM shift)

Job Description

The Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician works closely with pharmacists to ensure the health and safety of patients. This role involves supporting pharmacists by accurately locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping orders in a timely manner while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. The technician provides friendly customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.

ResponsibilitiesFunction within the limits of the law and adhere to company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment according to daily, monthly, and annual procedures.Wear clean scrubs and appropriate safety equipment as per standard operating procedures.Maintain a safe and clean workplace and understand emergency/disaster plans.Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.Correctly read and interpret prescriptions, process them using The Compounder system under pharmacist supervision.Maintain ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories with the pharmacist.Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials.Prepare orders for pharmacist review prior to shipment.Sort, stock, and label compounded medications.Ensure medications are properly stored.Provide prompt, friendly service to clients and handle patient complaints efficiently.Perform administrative tasks and other duties assigned by the Pharmacist Manager Fulfillment Division.Support pharmacists in daily operations of the fulfillment area.Essential SkillsPharmacy experienceRetail pharmacy experience with stocking, labeling, and sorting compounded medicationsAbility to work and communicate well with pharmacists, peers, and superiors in a professional mannerExcellent listening and communication skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to close follow-up and task completionTeamwork and initiativeAbility to complete tasks in a timely mannerProficiency in Microsoft Office software, QS-1, and CompounderAbility to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and telephoneAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentWork Environment

The work schedule is from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The pharmacy is undergoing an expansion project with new locations opening, providing opportunities for internal growth. The team currently consists of 40 employees, with plans to grow to 100 employees. Full training alongside pharmacists is provided. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance. The position offers a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity for stability, with paid holidays. Clean scrubs are provided daily as part of the dress code.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
