Overview
Robert Half is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Full-Time Engagement Professional (FTEP) team. As an FTEP, you’ll be a full-time employee of Robert Half, deployed on critical client projects or interim roles that demand exceptional accounting expertise. Key Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper will perform essential accounting and financial tasks for client engagements, including but not limited to:
Bank Reconciliation
+ Reconcile bank accounts and statements, ensuring accurate financial records and identifying discrepancies.
+ Maintain proper documentation and follow audit trails as required.
Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Processing
+ Process payroll efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in alignment with client needs.
Journal Entries and Month-End Closings
+ Post journal entries while ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards.
+ Perform month-end closings to help clients monitor their financial performance consistently.
Fixed Assets and Depreciation Schedules
+ Track fixed assets and maintain accurate documentation.
+ Prepare and update depreciation schedules using appropriate accounting software.
+ Assist in asset reporting for tax purposes.
Trial Balance Preparation
+ Prepare trial balances that support clearer financial analysis for month-end and annual accounting processes.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional certifications or coursework in accounting preferred.
+ Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. Familiarity with other small-business accounting tools is a plus.
+ Soft Skills: Solid communication, organizational, and customer service abilities to work effectively across diverse client engagements.
