Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview

This position is responsible for the overall direction, strategy, planning and execution of the operations, ensuring maximum customer, employee and shareholder value, in accordance with company's Fair Enterprise Culture.

Job Responsibility

Assumes responsibilities for the general operating results and financial status of the Company in terms of:

      a. Return on invested capital;

b. Soundness of financial planning including EBIT and EBIT%

c. Observation, maintenance and improvement of the Company’s assets;

d. Range of products and their acceptance and quality in relation to available markets and competition;

e. Sales policies and price structures;

f. Programs and facilitates for the design and development of new or modified products, which enable the Company to maintain or improve its competitive position in the industry;

g. Facilitates the manufacture of products at the lowest manufacturing costs consistent with quality requirements.

h. responsibly for UMTL

Provides leadership for maximum employee commitment, retention & development. Builds a technically competent and flexible manufacturing organization.

As a Senior Leader, must uphold & model the principles of the company’s People Culture, Quality Culture, Program Execution process, Safety Culture and Operational Standards

Responsible and accountable to lead, manage, support and provide direction to all staff within division through effective goals/objectives setting, performance monitoring and reviews, communication, and the execution of on-the-job training and development plans.

Ensures a robust operational structure by maintaining effective staffing levels and creating succession plans and related employee development plans to support current and future needs. 

Develops and executes an annual strategic plan for the Operation supporting company performance objectives and industry/field related benchmarking and trends.

Collects, measures and monitors data related to the overall effectiveness of the Operation; benchmarking and analyzing these trends to establish action plans for continuous improvement.

Develops and implements new processes and procedures, as needed to support changing business demands.

Facilitates effective two-way communication through scheduled department/staff meetings (minimum monthly) and an Open Door philosophy.

Facilitates and promotes a work environment based on fairness and people oriented, in accordance with Magna operation principles and Employee Charter.

Ensures visibility and accessibility to employees, by practicing Management By Walking Around.

Accountable for Operational budget preparation, approval and attainment.

Works in conjunction with Director of Operations, China in determining a strategic direction for the division.

Keeps informed of competitor’s activities and general developments in the industry and the economy, and carries out necessary planning to keep the Company competitive and in harmony with general business conditions.

Ensures confidentiality of all proprietary and human resources related information.

Follow company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies

HEALTH & SAFETY:

Seeks out and corrects acts or conditions, ensuring all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed.

Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards.

Review and adhere to plant health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies.

Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects, incidents or non-compliance issues.

Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment.

Involvement in the accident/incident program, determine root causes, correct action and following-up to ensure completion.

In addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety.

Attends mandatory Environmental and Health and Safety Training

Others

Perform other duties as required.

Reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information management. If necessary, need to sign a relevant "commitment letters" of personal information protection in the future.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Education

Fluent in operations ,business and financial result management

Education: Bachelor degree or above

Work Experience

Minimum 15 years of experience

Managerial Experience

More than 5 years must be in a senior management role in Automotive industry with a proven track record of growing profitable businesses through the implementation of effective Sales& Marketing strategies.

With Experience in Sales & Marketing, as well as project-management activities in Automotive industry; Experience outside Automotive is also preferred.

Competence

Deep knowledge of business strategy, product portfolio management, sales &marketing management and undertaking Profit & Loss responsibility with proven successful business outcomes in managing growth and change.

Open for change and result oriented in combination with the ability to build customer networks and relationships.

Demonstrated leadership on coaching and motivating the team to achieve the better performance.

Good communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills.

High integrity, high energy and self- motivator.

A good mastery of verbal and written English and Chinese; solid interpersonal skills.

Good at MS Office software (i.e. Word, PPT, Excel).
