Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for rolling pipe onto the coiling machine, tying it with twine, and transporting the rolls or bundles to the assigned staging area. It is crucial to maintain line speed to keep production flowing smoothly and prevent piles of pipe from forming. You will also support the block change/changeover process as required and complete accurate, real-time reporting. The role involves working with trimming knives and shrink-wrapping machines.

Work Environment

The work environment is at a manufacturing facility in Jesup, Iowa, where corrugated, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drainage pipes are produced for agricultural field drainage, stormwater management, and culverts. There is no air conditioning, so summers can be hot. Employees can wear pants or shorts (denim or similar, no sports shorts) with t-shirts. A belt is required for pants or shorts, and steel or safety toe shoes are necessary. Clothing must be free from profanity and rips or tears. The environment is laid-back as long as employees are punctual and productive. Cell phones are not allowed on the floor. Safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves are provided if needed. Shifts are 7-3 for 1st shift, 3-11 for 2nd shift, and 11-7 for 3rd shift, with some Saturdays required for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
