Job Description:

Geotechnical Engineer in the field at least 70%-80% of the time Performing geotechnical support and inspections to commercial and residential projects throughout NYCField work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring Familiarity with AutoCAD to design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systemsGeotechnical report writing including SOE, retaining walls, load test details, field forms/ standard logs, soil/ rock classifications, drilling logs, and calculations

Qualifications

3+ years experienceDegree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or Geology Perform field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring Oversee geotechnical investigations and construction projects, and perform inspections of geotechnical construction where neededDesign earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systemsGeotechnical report writingPrepare standard logs and field forms, including drilling and test pit logs, field investigation, rock classification, etc.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
