MAU is hiring a Remote Global Packaging Engineer Manager for our client in Lexington, AL. As a Global Packaging Engineer Manager, you will lead packaging engineering initiatives across all global operations—driving innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in packaging design and execution. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package Pay of $160,000 – $163,000 annually based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) retirement plan Life insurance Short and long-term disability insurance Paid time off and holidays Employee Assistance Program Employee discounts Tuition reimbursement* Adoption assistance* This position is eligible for a 15% annual bonus Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, or related field) 10–15 years of progressive experience in consumer products packaging Proven leadership or managerial experience in a global setting Experience managing a global team of engineers Expertise in line integration, project management, and field implementation Proficiency in Auto-CAD, SAP, Microsoft Office, and palletization software (e.g., CAPE) Strong knowledge of packaging materials, sustainability, and global packaging regulations Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration Professional Engineer License Project Management Certification Certified Packaging Professional credential General Requirements Strong leadership and team development skills Analytical and problem-solving capabilities Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Essential Functions Lead and mentor a global team of packaging engineers Oversee standardized project work processes to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality goals are met Develop and implement global packaging strategies, standardizing equipment and layouts across sites Collaborate with cross-functional teams on packaging design, launch, and promotional initiatives Recommend and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and incorporate recycled materials Represent the company in global packaging coalitions and industry task forces Serve as the subject matter expert for packaging processes, specifications, and procurement support Manage the global Packaging Specification Database and vendor qualifications Working Conditions Remote position with global collaboration Requires international and domestic travel up to 50%
