Job Summary The Graduate Nurse plays a key role in the delivery of caring, competent patient care in conjunction with a mentoring Registered Nurse. Will perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, formulate a goal directed plan of care and implement delegated interdependent and independent direct care activities based on skills learning and clinical training, assessment findings and evaluation of any previous interventions. Collaborates with mentoring RN on the nursing process, supporting documentation and other items as appropriate.It is expected that Graduate Nurses will successfully obtain certification/licensure from the State of Michigan and transition into a Registered Nurse role within 60 days. For Corewell South, Graduate Nurses will successfully obtain NIHSS certification within 90 days of start date.
