Job Summary
Join The Works Fitness Center! Free Membership!Responsible for leading and instructing group fitness classes. This role involves designing and delivering engaging fitness programs tailored to the needs of patients, staff, and community members. The instructor will work closely with the wellness team and other healthcare professionals to promote physical fitness and overall well-being.
Qualifications
Essential Functions
Plan and lead group fitness classes, including but not limited to aerobics, strength training, yoga, or other exercise modalities.
-Provide clear and effective instruction, ensuring exercises are performed correctly and safely.
-Develop and implement fitness programs tailored to various fitness levels and health conditions.
-Adapt exercises and class content based on the specific needs and goals of participants.
-Create a positive and motivating class environment to encourage participant engagement and adherence.
-Offer modifications and alternatives to accommodate participants with different fitness levels or physical limitations.
Education
Active Group Fitness or personal training certification from an approved provider that will be relevant to the class being taught

Licenses and Credentials
Heartsaver CPR AED [CPR] - American Heart Association (AHA) required
Experience
Experience in group fitness instruction
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of fitness techniques and principles.

- Ability to adapt exercises for diverse populations, including individuals with specific health conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
