Position Summary:
The Group Manager, Business Analysis & Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and managing both the Business Analysis and Quality Assurance functions within the organization. This role ensures that business requirements are effectively gathered, documented, and translated into functional solutions while maintaining high-quality standards through rigorous testing and validation. The Group Manager works closely with stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership to drive process improvements, optimize team performance, and ensure successful project delivery
Essential Functions:
Business Analysis (BA) Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts to ensure effective requirements gathering and documentation.Establish and enforce best practices for business analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into functional solutions.Oversee the development of business process models, workflows, and system requirements.Drive process improvements and innovation in BA methodologies.Ensure clear communication between business and technical teams.Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of QA professionals, including testers and automation engineers.Define and implement QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure software quality.Oversee test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting to maintain high-quality standards.Foster a culture of continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.Ensure integration of automated and manual testing for efficient test coverage.Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and enhance product quality.General Leadership & Management:Align BA and QA objectives with organizational goals and business needs.Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for both teams.Monitor team performance, ensuring timely project delivery and quality outcomes.Identify risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement in BA and QA processes.Communicate effectively with senior leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field .10+ years of experience in Business Analysis (BA) and/or Quality Assurance (QA), with at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial roleProven track record of managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams.Experience in defining and implementing BA & QA strategies, processes, and best practices.Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, process modeling, test planning, execution, and automation frameworksExperience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.Proficiency in BA and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Selenium, TestRail, etc.).Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Experience collaborating with stakeholders, development teams, and senior leadership to align objectives with business goalsPhysical Demands:
