Description
The primary function of this role will be as a Hardware designer on complex, digital and mixed signal systems including architecture, hardware design, hardware bring-up of PCB designs incorporating FPGA devices, exploration of technology, system performance and specification to design and test. The person will also be responsible for defining system requirements and integration, debug and bring-up of hardware in a lab environment.
Responsible for the electrical design of analog and digital circuits through all phases; from the requirements analysis and concept development to the end of hardware qualification. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.Determines component required to meet the performance and functional requirementsCreates Schematic and drives PCB Layout using Siemens Xpedition tools.Work with Signal Integrity engineers to drive Pre and Post PCB routing constraints.Prepares design documentation and bills of materialsConfirms accuracy of Bill of Material (BOM) and assembly data (CIM).Confirms availability and facilitates acquisition of new components for builds.Coordinates the building of prototype products and systems.Generates and analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets the performance and functional requirementsResponsible for determining root cause of product nonperformance utilizing appropriate test equipment.Participate in Design ReviewsWork both independently and as part of a teamOther duties as assigned by managementSkills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of high-performance board design and layout (transmission line effects, skew, and controlled impedance knowledge).Experience with SoCs (System on Chip) and microprocessor peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, PCIe, UARTS, I2C, SPI.3 to 5 years of experience working in a lab environment using digital embedded system debug tools (ICE, logic analyzers, JTAG, Oscilloscopes)DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of HANDS-ON experience in new product development5-8 years of experience using Siemens Xpedition tools for schematics and PCB layout.Experience with microcontroller-based hardware design and testingExperience with design calculations, simulation, component selectionExperience with analog and digital circuitry/electronicsHands on experience in test equipment such as power meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, Familiar with EMI EMC testing, environmental, WCCA (worst case circuitry analysis)Ability to manage and solve complex problems with minimal direction.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
