Head of Global Markets FX Sales

Description

The Head of Global Markets FX Sales will manage a team of experienced FX professionals. This Managing Director (MD) will have management and revenue responsibility. They will work to develop new business relationship opportunities and prospecting efforts, focusing primarily on the Private Equity space. The MD is responsible for mentoring and developing our analysts as well as coaching our current coverage. The role is Boston based with responsibility for coverage teams in various local market. 

Responsibilities

Develop and execute Sales Strategies. Create and implement strategies to position the Citizens GM platform, achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and maximize profitability. Partner with colleagues across Capital Markets to strengthen relationships with clients and deliver value-add solutions. Drive new business. Leverage the Bank’s capabilities and product offering to drive new business, including revenue generation through execution, or delegation of execution, of spot, forwards, options, cross-currency swaps, and foreign currency accounts.Lead, mentor, and manage the FX Sales team, setting sales targets and ensuring team members meet their goals. Collaborate with Rates & Commodities leadership to drive strategy and prioritize development of junior talent. Develop and recruit talent from the analyst to the MD level. Coordinate / Communicate internally with senior leadership and peers across the relevant LOBs, credit, legal, risk, and compliance. Assist with Technology upgrades. Collaborate internally to execute on technology initiatives aimed at expanding and advancing the FX payments initiative.Coordinate with GM leadership to set GM strategic priorities and plans, establish goals, develop new offerings, and address overall staffing and operational needs. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in processes as well as candidates to support FX business initiatives. Partner with colleagues to build a ‘best in class’ risk management platform for CFG clients. 

Requirements:

Strong understanding of all FX product offerings to the Bank’s Corporate and Private Equity clients including (i) spot, (ii) forward, (iii) options, (iv) cross-currency swaps, and (v) foreign currency accounts. Expertise of the applicable credit and cash management/treasury.Minimum 15+ years of successful FX sales across a variety of industries.Strong ability to lead and mentor both junior and senior level talentDemonstrated ability to influence, build and retain client base

Hours:  40+Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday
