Operations Support
Conduct onsite inspections to evaluate and reinforce safe work practices.
Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
Assist with external audit preparations and support ongoing compliance initiatives.
Foster a culture of safety excellence throughout all levels of the organization.
Support incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions in collaboration with the Regional EHS team.
Review, classify, and report on injuries, property damage, and environmental incidents.
Participate in safety training and orientation for new employees.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
Ensure proper recordkeeping and compliance documentation is maintained at each branch.
Assist in the development of monthly and annual safety topics and training themes.
Injury Management & Return to Work
Provide immediate guidance and support to supervisors following workplace incidents.
Ensure timely completion and submission of required documentation.
Collaborate with Corporate Disability Management and Workers’ Compensation Boards to support return-to-work programs.
Manage communication and support for injured employees during modified duties.
General
Support the EHS team in enforcing applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
QualificationsWillingness and ability to travel across the assigned region.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Solid understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practices.
