About the role

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand toolsReceive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floorFollow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areasExterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice preventionTraffic Control for incoming/outgoing trafficAssist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairsAdditional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

Position Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment such as a front-end loader or backhoeMust have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Physical Demands of the Role:

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climbAbility to lift/carry 50lbsAbility to work from heights and in confined spacesQualify to wear a full-face respirator Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift:Rotating shift: 1 week days - 6:00am to 3:30pm, 1 week nights - 3:00pm to close (usually midnight)
