Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector Job Description The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical experience in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles. Responsibilities + Conduct inspections of highway construction projects, ensuring compliance with design plans and specifications. + Monitor and test materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure they meet required standards. + Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports. + Coordinate with construction crews and project managers to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. + Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies on-site promptly. + Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. Essential Skills + NICET level II/III certification in Construction or Highway Materials + ACI Certification with 5 years of experience + NJSAT certification + Strong technical knowledge in highway construction, concrete, and asphalt paving + Proficiency in construction inspection and testing equipment + Ability to commute around New Jersey Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with NJDOT projects + Experience in civil engineering or civil construction + Knowledge of construction management practices + Excellent communication and documentation skills Work Environment Must be able to work all hours during the day, overnight, and in inclement weather.
