Highway Construction Inspector
Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector Job Description The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical experience in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles. Responsibilities + Conduct inspections of highway construction projects, ensuring compliance with design plans and specifications. + Monitor and test materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure they meet required standards. + Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports. + Coordinate with construction crews and project managers to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. + Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies on-site promptly. + Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. Essential Skills + NICET level II/III certification in Construction or Highway Materials + ACI Certification with 5 years of experience + NJSAT certification + Strong technical knowledge in highway construction, concrete, and asphalt paving + Proficiency in construction inspection and testing equipment + Ability to commute around New Jersey Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with NJDOT projects + Experience in civil engineering or civil construction + Knowledge of construction management practices + Excellent communication and documentation skills Work Environment Must be able to work all hours during the day, overnight, and in inclement weather. Schedules may change frequently. This opportunity allows you to work for a smaller company where you can wear many hats.
