As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the daily housekeeping operations and represent the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. You will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness of guest rooms and resort guest facilities, laundering of bed linen, and the maintenance of furnishings and other housekeeping equipment. You will lead and support all housekeeping colleagues under your supervision to ensure the IHG Way of Clean and IHG Clean Promise are upheld in daily operations. You will also share Regent’s vision of luxury by ensuring product quality standards are met and delivering elevated housekeeping service through IHG True Hospitality and Regent Service Behaviors to all resort guests. Additionally, you will perform key human resources functions, including colleague selection, training, counseling, and recognition programs, to enhance performance standards and maximize both guest and colleague satisfaction.
+ Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and quality standards in guest rooms, corridors, service areas, and housekeeping pantries.
Conduct shift briefings and debriefings to communicate daily operational updates.
Ensure all scheduled colleagues are present; arrange replacements for any absences.
Prepare and distribute room assignments and floor keys.
Coordinate immediate cleaning of vacant rooms and prepare for expected check-outs.
+ Oversee daily guest room cleaning and turndown services, with special attention to VIPs, dignitaries, and guests requiring personalized service. Ensure all tasks are completed within the standard timeframe to maximize productivity.
Lead inspections of guest rooms (arrival, occupied, and departure) to ensure adherence to IHG Way of Clean and brand standards.
Maintain effective communication with Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless coordination.
Provide room discrepancy reports each shift in line with established procedures.
Schedule and oversee deep cleaning tasks, including carpets, upholstery, draperies, public areas, lobbies, elevators, and meeting rooms.
Ensure meeting and event spaces are cleaned post-function and set up according to specifications.
Support the Executive Housekeeper in training, coaching, and enforcing SOPs across the Housekeeping team.
Uphold key control and guest room security protocols.
Maintain high housekeeping standards in cleanliness, linen/uniform care, lost & found, laundry services, and public area safety.
Monitor outsourced laundry services for quality and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with vendors for pest control and gardening.
Address guest complaints, coordinate with the Guest Service Manager and Service Centre, and implement corrective actions.
Review guest feedback from surveys and online platforms, act on negative comments, and recognize staff for positive feedback during briefings.
Conduct regular team meetings and ensure briefings are informative and consistent.
