HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner serves as the primary HR partner to the business leaders and their teams, providing HR support and guidance to area leadership and Team Members.  Partners with area leadership to plan to effectively address tactical and strategic business priorities. Supports and delivers company or division wide HR programs and processes within the business.  Ensures all Management and HR practices within the business are in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Overall work will include, Strategic Workforce Planning, Compensation Planning, Performance Management, Talent Management, Engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Actively partners with assigned business teams to understand and support short- and long-term plans that effectively address tactical as well as strategic business priorities.  Develops and recommends actions and/or delivers agreed solutions to maximize Team Member, Manager and Company performance. 

Provides strategic and tactical guidance and support to management in a variety of areas – including, but not limited to:  talent management, Team Member engagement, individual and organizational performance, org and role design, etc.   Drives a strategic talent agenda and facilitates established Talent Management activities within assigned business groups, including, but not limited to:  talent review/planning, succession planning, development of Leaders and Team Members, and retention initiatives.  Designs and/or delivers training and development solutions that address specific business needs, such as leadership development / effectiveness workshops, Team Member engagement workshops, competency / skill building sessions, and related projects and initiatives.  Coaches Leaders to be strong and effective people managers when it comes to the leadership, management and engagement of their teams. May lead and/or support the execution of full cycle Merger & Acquisition related activities within assigned business groups (pre and post integration).  

Drives and supports division/enterprise-wide, transformational HR programs and strategic initiatives in the areas of Team Member Engagement / Experience, Team Member Culture / Mission, Vision, Values and other O/D activities such as Leadership Development, Talent Assessments & Succession Planning, etc.  Partners with business leadership to drive and influence Team Member engagement strategies and outcomes.  Proactively identifies and supports transformation opportunities within assigned business groups and provides solid change management guidance and support.  May lead and/or support HR priorities and initiatives that enable strong business performance and success.

Drives, delivers and supports enterprise-wide HR programs and processes within assigned business groups.  Provides coaching, guidance and execution support to Managers and Team Members related to HR policies and procedures, individual performance issues, compliance issues, disciplinary actions and terminations - ensuring all internal practices are appropriate and in compliance with relevant laws and Company policies and procedures.  Partners and collaborates with colleagues in HR Centers of Excellence to anticipate, plan and deliver business-focused solutions.

Drives effective and appropriate resolution to employee relations issues by consistently and fairly enforcing company policies and procedures, thoroughly investigating and bringing resolution to formal complaints and providing recommendations on outcomes. Collaborates with Sr. HR Leadership and/or Legal colleagues where appropriate to quantify risk factors and/or develop strategies to mitigate potential risk and share best practices and insights. 

Identifies and presents insights uncovered through various employee insight and people analytics vehicles; supporting local leadership to take meaningful actions and make evidence-based decisions that will position the company as an employer of choice and great place to work.

Other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 4 years of HR experience with at least two in a HR Business Partner role.

A minimum of four (4) years of experience working with and influencing management level business. partners including consulting on employee relations, change management, compensation, full life cycle recruiting and or Learning & Development.

Ability to organize and analyze data using HRIS systems and other information gathering systems.

Track record of using data to inform decisions.

Experience influencing senior leaders.

Strong partnership abilities.

Ability to prioritize and multitask.

10-20% Travel may be required.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field. 

Previous experience in Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations HR Generalist.

Previous Healthcare industry experience.

Certificate in Human Resources Management or PHR preferred.
