Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced HR Consultant to support on of our clients by thoroughly assess and refine their Human Resources (HR) department. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background with demonstrated expertise in evaluating HR policies, procedures, talent acquisition strategies, onboarding processes, and overall department effectiveness. This is a contract opportunity with part-time hours, ranging from 10 to 30 hours per week, and has the potential to be ongoing based on organizational needs. This position is based in Chicago, IL and sits within the dynamic Real Estate & Property industry.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the client's current HR policies, procedures, and practices.
+ Evaluate the talent acquisition lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes, and identify areas for improvement.
+ Analyze the structure and functionality of the existing HR department and recommend strategies for streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.
+ Review compliance with relevant labor laws and make recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
+ Develop actionable and clear recommendations to optimize HR functions, processes, and overall department performance.
+ Collaborate with client leadership to provide strategic advice and guidance on HR-related challenges and opportunities.
+ Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, proposed solutions, and implementation roadmaps.
+ Provide ongoing HR consulting support as the client implements recommended changes.

Requirements
+ Extensive experience in Human Resources, including policy assessment, talent acquisition, onboarding processes, and departmental evaluations.
+ Proven track record of successfully conducting HR assessments and implementing process improvements in previous roles.
+ In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and compliance guidelines.
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR recommendations with organizational goals.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering actionable recommendations.
+ Ability to work independently in a part-time, contract capacity and manage multiple priorities effectively.
