Summary:
GameStop is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to support our Distribution Center (DC) and Refurbishment Operations Center (ROC) in Grapevine, TX. This role is responsible for managing and delivering HR strategies, programs, and services across both centers, focusing on employee relations, talent acquisition, training, compliance, compensation, and performance management. The ideal candidate will serve as a key business partner to leadership while supporting a positive and compliant work environment.
This position sits onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic HR partner for DC and ROC operations by advising leaders on employee relations, corrective action, and termination procedures in alignment with GameStop policies and employment laws.Review and approve disciplinary actions to ensure consistency, fairness, and legal compliance.Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies.Supervise and support HR staff responsible for payroll and administrative HR functions within the DC.Provide accurate and timely guidance to employees and managers on policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR inquiries.Design and facilitate manager and supervisor training on interviewing, hiring, onboarding, terminations, safety, harassment prevention, and other critical HR topics.Develop and implement proactive HR strategies, policies, and programs to support organizational needs and regulatory changes.Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, background checks, and drug screenings for DC-based roles and field management support as needed.Lead new hire orientation and onboarding initiatives to ensure a seamless integration experience for new team members.Manage and track the performance evaluation process, ensuring timely completion and fair compensation reviews.Conduct internal investigations related to harassment, discrimination, wage and hour issues, and other employee concerns.Conduct and analyze wage surveys and market data to recommend competitive pay and incentive strategies.Support training needs analysis and facilitate targeted learning and development programs for hourly and leadership staff.Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to develop actionable retention strategies.Partner with internal and external resources for temporary staffing and recruiting services as needed.Collaborate on updates to the DC Handbook and HR procedures to ensure alignment with legal standards and GameStop culture.Assist in special HR projects and investigations in partnership with Loss Prevention, HR leadership, and DC/Refurb management.Maintain a visible and approachable HR presence on the DC/ROC floor.Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.3–5 years of HR management experience, ideally in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing setting.Broad knowledge of HR disciplines including employee relations, benefits, compliance, compensation, and talent acquisition.Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, PeopleSoft, UltiPro).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.Confident presenting and facilitating training for various levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.Able to travel as needed and work extended hours during peak seasons.Work Environment
This position operates primarily within a Distribution Center and Refurbishment Center environment. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high due to machinery and equipment operations, especially during peak periods. On-site presence is required to support the needs of the facility and employees.
