**HSE Officer**
**Qatar**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **HSE Officer** to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations at our project sites. The HSE Officer will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant working environment.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Conduct regular inspections of project sites to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
+ Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
+ Monitor adherence to workplace safety protocols and review emergency preparedness and response plans.
+ Ensure that all safety and environmental equipment and systems are properly maintained and operational.
+ Track and report on HSE performance metrics and compliance with standards.
+ Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
+ Ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to the project team on HSE-related issues.
+ Maintain accurate records of HSE inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
+ Prepare and present detailed reports on HSE performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
+ Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address HSE concerns and ensure compliance.
+ Communicate HSE expectations and requirements to all personnel on-site.
+ Participate in HSE meetings and provide updates on HSE performance and initiatives.
+ Respond to emergency situations and coordinate timely resolution of HSE issues.
+ Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
+ Conducts accident investigations and prepares incident investigation reports.
+ Ensure compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
+ Review and comment on contractor safety plans and RAMS.
+ Develop the Project Safety, Health, and Environmental Plan.
+ Conducts the New Hire Safety Orientation for new staff.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE inspection, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
+ Strong knowledge of HSE standards, regulations, and best practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
+ Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
+ Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
+ Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills.
+ Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Experience working in Qatar and/or the Gulf region is highly preferred.
+ Familiarity with international HSE standards and local codes.
+ Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
+ Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check HSE plans for accuracy and compliance.
+ Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight
