Georgia Power Company, a subsidiary of Southern Company, is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team as a strategic partner in fostering organizational excellence and business success. The chosen candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging HR expertise to consult on various aspects of human resources, tailor strategies to our business needs, and contribute to the achievement of company goals by ensuring top-quality HR service delivery. This hybrid role requires being onsite 4 days/week (Monday- Thursday) splitting time at Georgia Power’s Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and the Customer Care Center in McDonough, GA.
Act as the primary HR liaison for designated business units, building robust relationships to integrate HR initiatives and align them with the business culture, while recommending strategies to enhance workplace culture and elevate organizational effectiveness. Deliver guidance to management on nurturing employee relations and develop strategic recommendations to proactively address and positively resolve workplace matters. Provide consultative guidance and support to ensure a thorough understanding and effective application of HR policies and procedures within the organization. Collaborate with HR COEs to spearhead initiatives in succession planning, performance management, training and development, annual compensation reviews and calibrations, employee engagement projects and workforce planning and development. Work in tandem with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to harness data analytics for strategic HR decision-making and planning including optimizing recruitment, retention, employee engagement measures, developing talent, enhancing diversity initiatives, benchmarking compensation, predicting workforce trends, and assessing the impact of HR programs on business outcomes. Act as an intermediary, connecting the business unit with broader HR resources and services, as necessary.Education and Certifications:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is highly desiredExperience:
A minimum of 3 years of HRBP experience or related HR consulting experience is required Solid Microsoft Office skills Ideal candidate will have some experience with HCM tools (ie, Oracle, Workday, etc).
