Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our HR operations at manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is key to fostering a positive and productive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting employees and creating a thriving work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive employee management procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding.
• Lead initiatives to retain top talent by managing employee screening, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
• Partner with management to provide guidance on coaching, mentoring, and addressing performance or disciplinary matters.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws, providing education and updates to the team as necessary.
• Manage workers' compensation programs, including claims processing and resolution.
• Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Refine and enforce employee policies and procedures, improving HR systems and processes where needed.
• Create and execute an annual employee review plan to support growth and development.
• Coordinate the administration of employee benefits and collaborate with the Controller to assess and select annual benefit offerings.
• Plan and oversee employee engagement activities, such as holiday events and appreciation programs.
Requirements • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and individuals within an organization.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, with the ability to stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Familiarity with payroll and HR software systems; experience with Paycom is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a human resources role.
• Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting, employee engagement, and compliance processes.
