Overview Responsible for supporting the Facilities Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Sub-Activity Management Plan (AMP) services through experienced technical knowledge in structural, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/water and fuels systems maintenance requirements. the inspection, operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and components to include, split, window, package and whole facility units, Utilities AMP and Sub-AMP services, chillers and freezers installed in various types of facilities to support the mission of the AAAF in accordance with the performance work statement. Responsibilities Shall inspect, operate, maintain, and repair installed and portable heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration systems, dehumidification systems, water heaters, and low-pressure air compressors and associated distribution equipment at AAAF. Accomplish operational checks and perform maintenance on all central HVAC and refrigeration units to keep them operational and responds to emergency HVAC calls. Supports the Mechanical Systems Sub-AMP and is responsible for an asset lifecycle management portfolio containing all systems consistent with UNIFORMAT II mechanical systems including cooling, heating, ventilating, and elevators. Shall maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions to include: requesting parts, receiving parts, installing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing Chiller equipment. interior water, wastewater, fire suppression, lighting, fire alarms, and interior electrical. Shall provide written reports after the completions of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system or component. Must be able to multi-task and work in a high paced environment. Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently. Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with V2X, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements. Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas. Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools). Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma required. Associate degree or vocational training preferred. Must be an EPA Section 608 Certified Technician, provide certification document HVAC Technicians accomplishing chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) exchanges shall be certified IAW Florida State statute or equivalent and EPA certified HVAC Technicians shall have a US HVAC license/certification or equivalent. Candidates accomplishing CFC exchanges are certified IAW US State statute or equivalent. Shall have a certified boiler inspector IAW NBIC developed by the NBBPVI and AFMAN 32-1068. Must have a valid Driver’s License from their location of origin and able to drive with a manual transmission. Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc. Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in the operations, maintenance and repair of HVAC units. Knowledgeable in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/water and fuels systems maintenance requirements Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment. Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point Good English with good verbal, reading and writing skills. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Exercise discretion and good sound judgment. Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred. Other Requirements: Work will be mainly outdoors with office space provided. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.
