Hybrid Accounting Manager
Description Hybrid - We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee revenue processes and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This role involves managing journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue cycles while driving process improvements and providing leadership to a dedicated team. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Review and approve journal entries related to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Manage the preparation and review of monthly calculations for accrued and deferred revenue, including account reconciliations. • Oversee bank reconciliations across multiple offices, ensuring accurate cash balances and proper recording in accounting systems. • Lead the analysis and resolution of outstanding reconciling items, ensuring timely corrections by local offices. • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for financial and analytical tools used in revenue accounting and cash reconciliation. • Participate in the development and implementation of improvements to accounting and finance processes within the revenue cycle. • Execute revenue accounting processes and controls with a focus on scalability, automation, and analytical review. • Provide training, mentorship, and constructive feedback to team members on financial systems, procedures, and assignments. Job opportunity by Troy Cohoon Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and its application. • Proficiency in financial analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a deadline-driven environment. • CPA certification and experience with a Big 4 accounting firm are highly desirable.
