The role you’ll contribute:

The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments under the supervision of the assigned physician in accordance with the physician’s orders, recognized hyperbaric oxygen therapy techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician is also responsible for following manufacturer’s recommendations and industry standards in the general upkeep of the hyperbaric chambers, including appropriate safety checks, cleaning, and ensuring the required preventive maintenance is completed in a timely manner.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Must possess good verbal and written communications skills.

Safely operates the Hyperbaric Chamber per manufactures specification under physician direction.

Cleans HBO chamber and treatment room using appropriate techniques.

Maintains daily and periodic equipment maintenance documentation.

Prepares patient for HBO treatments.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Associate Required or Technical/Vocational School Required

Bachelor's Preferred

BLS - Basic Life Support

Must hold one of the following:

o CHT - Certification in Hyperbaric Technology

o CRT - Certified Respiratory Therapist

o LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure

o EMT - Emergency Medical Tech

o PARAMEDIC - Paramedic – Licensed

o Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA)

o CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

o Completion of Primary Hyperbaric Training Course and ability to obtain CHT
