Airswift is seeking for a ICSS Lead to work with our client based in Qatar.
Job Purpose Lead the ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems) activities for Offshore Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, drawings etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and provide support to the topside Engineering Division Manager ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standards The ICSS Lead will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance on control systems and safety systems for Offshore facilities and Onshore facilities (Offshore scope). The role ensures compliance with Company and international standards to enhance asset reliability and safety. Key Accountabilities Ensure that the Contractor’s ICSS engineering for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) comply with the Contract requirements including project codes and standards. Review and approve Contractor/Vendor ICSS engineering deliverables for Topsides and Onshore facilities (Offshore scope). Plan and schedule the ICSS engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with Company operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system. Participate in key design workshop and ensure that workshop recommendations are correctly implemented and actions closed (Cyber security workshop, Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.) Ensure the seamless integration of various third-party packages into the ICSS. Develop and review control and safety systems, cause and effects, shutdown hierarchy requirements, system control narratives. Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts across relevant disciplines involved in the delivery of the ICSS systems related to Topsides and ensure endorsement of technical deviations to Company specifications when required. Supervise the Engineering interface for control & safety systems between Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) and Onshore Project team. Monitor and co-ordinate timely closing of all interface aspects, related to integration of ICSS with other projects. Attend FATs/SAT for ICSS and support field commissioning activities/site queries Co-ordination / development of procedures for smooth handover of ICSS package to operations.
Qualifications and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 8 years of relevant experience in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multicultural teams in offshore environments. Excellent writing and presentation skills. A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English. Computer literacy involves the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications. Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping, pipeline, structural, instrument, telecom, piping and electrical.
