In the role of Idaho-Montana Area Safety Manager,we'll count on you to:
Demonstrate journeyman field proficiency in understanding HDR’s established corporate safety program/procedures and implementing those elements as applicable on the areas diverse project portfolio and business lines.
Support HDR’s Marketing teams in reviewing pursuits in order to identify, plan for and mitigate SHE related risk.
Support and assist company's Project/Construction Managers in SHE requirements across all business lines
Show proficiency in SHE auditing and inspection protocols in field and office settings,
Be proficient in SHE training and able to facilitate this training as required topics include but not limited to Permit Required Confined Spaces, Control of Hazardous Energy, Job Hazard Analysis, CPR-AED First Aid.
Display working knowledge of SHE regulatory codes to include both federal and state
Lead the local safety committee in assigned areas
Participate as a member of the leadership team in assigned area(s) supporting implementation and culture initiatives
Understand all SHE processes and procedures in support of SHE requirements within an office and field environment
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Previous SHE work experience in construction, mining/tunneling, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil and Gas and/or AE firm
OSHA-10 hr. Construction Outreach Trainer Certified
Local candidate preferred. Must be able to reside in Boise, ID. Potentially Billings, MT.
Required QualificationsBachelor or Technical degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related field A minimum of 5 years experience in Safety Health and Environment field Certification in one or more SHE fields such as (Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), (GSP) Graduate Safety Practitioner, or equivalent SHE Project/Program Management experienceExtensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software Team-oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SHE policy and procedural requirements An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
