HVAC technicians install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems withing the plant buildings. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in buildings throughout the plant. The HVAC technician is multidimensional, combining practical skills with technical knowledge. HVAC Technicians must have experience in working on a commercial setting.
Essential Functions
Repair malfunctioning HVAC systemsInspect functioning systems for potential issues and preventative maintenanceInstall new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projectsFollow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systemsTest and troubleshoot your installations after completionInterpreting blueprints and building specifications to map out installation.Installing components such as compressors, motors, piping, and ducts.Connecting systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components.Testing individual components to ensure proper installation and operation.Ensuring compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintaining a safe work environment.Education and Experience
