Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **The Infection Control Preventionist (under the leadership of the Director of Infection Prevention) is responsible for the prevention, detection and control of infections in the facility. Establishes, institutes and maintains an effective system for evaluation and reporting infections in patients. All of this shall be accomplished based on a systematic body of professional knowledge. Responsible for providing adequate education for hospital staff.** **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor's degree or higher required. + MSN Preferred + One year of direct clinical practice in an acute care hospital setting required + Demonstrated experience in infection control required + Currently licensed as a clinical professional in the state of practice in accordance with laws and regulation. + Experience working closely with physicians and other clinical care providers in group and one-on-one settings. + National Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred. + Experience in critical care and/or OR helpful. + Knowledge of epidemiology, infectious disease management, microbiology, public health principles, and statistical analysis of clinical data preferred. **Memorial Hospital** has provided quality healthcare services since 1969, giving patients access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
