Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to adult inpatients. This role involves ensuring safe and effective medication use across 54 Med/Surg/Telemetry beds and 10 ICU beds.
ResponsibilitiesProvide pharmaceutical care to adult inpatients across 54 Med/Surg/Telemetry beds and 10 ICU beds, ensuring safe and effective medication use.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the Operating Room (OR), Same-Day Surgery (SDS), Radiology/Interventional Radiology (IR), and Emergency Room (ER).Oversee medication preparation and dispensing for inpatient and Emergency Room patients, adhering to safety protocols and hospital guidelines.Utilize Pyxis for automated medication management and Epic for charting and documentation.Leverage PharmacyOneSource for preferred pharmacy workflow management, if applicable.Ensure compliance with institutional policies, state, and federal regulations.Provide patient education and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes.Essential SkillsPharmacyPharmDMedical terminologyCompoundingCPhT certification2+ years of inpatient experienceNJ LicenseAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with automated medication management systemsProficiency in using Epic for documentationStrong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teamsWork Environment
The work environment includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various hospital departments, utilizing advanced medication management technologies such as Pyxis and Epic. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $73.00/hr.
