Element has an opportunity for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratoryBe accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptableBe expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testingHave the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activitiesInteract with customers on technical issues and questionsProvide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customersBe confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholdersAssist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratoryCarry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and dataUtilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysisBe adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions Skills / Qualifications Possess a Degree in Geotechnical Engineering with at least 3 years of working experienceWorking knowledge of laboratory safetyPossess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering disciplinePossesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s businessIn-depth understanding of testing conceptsCan analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performedPossess strong computer skills
