**Insurance Risk Analyst**

**Summary.** We are engaging in a search for an individual to fill the Insurance Risk Analyst position. The role will directly support the Corporate Risk Management and insurance procurement functions for the enterprise, the employment law practice area, and the Legal Department’s overall responsibilities. At the direction of AVP Corporate Risk Management (CRM) the Insurance Risk Analyst may be required to attend meetings, depositions and trials within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area as well as to Methodist Health’s owned and/or operated facilities.
The Insurance Risk Analyst will be expected to have at least 3 years of commercial/ property/liability insurance experience; working in litigation or a healthcare highly desirable. Knowledge of insurance terminology and principles preferred, with a strong desire to expand their knowledge base to positively contribute to a strong cohesive group. Experience with property/casualty/liability insurance placements. The Insurance Risk Analyst will be required to use their Microsoft Office skills, claims management system, expense/billing and contract management systems to elevate the level of service the Legal Department provides to the enterprise. Knowledge of employment law in a healthcare setting is desirable along with a strong desire to acquire new knowledge... Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required to support the department’s mission and goals along with being detail oriented, logical, and an ability to methodically approach problem solving.
The Insurance Risk Analyst will work under the direction and supervision of the AVP Corporate Risk Management.
**Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.**
**Insurance:**
+ Have a thorough understanding of organizational structure in order to assist in insurance placement.
+ Assure insurance applications are completed, track and document all exposure data obtained from various internal sources.
+ Accurately and timely process all related documentation including binders, proposals, policies, endorsements etc.
+ Adhere to insurance application deadlines and communicate with all parties as needed managing daily activity of commercial placement.
+ Be responsible to assure all premium invoices are processed and paid for the enterprise.
+ Assists with preparing and completing multiple property and casualty insurance applications, keeping and maintaining insurance records along with fulfilling various Corporate Risk and insurance functions and responsibilities.
**Claims:**
+ Be responsible in managing insurance/claims verification for members insured by MHS’ self-insurance Trust.
+ Must be able to interpret contracts/lease agreements and process certificates of insurance accordingly.
+ Communicate with internal/external parties to assure premium invoices are accurate and document according to organizational guidelines.
+ Be responsible to assure all litigation related invoices are processed and paid for the enterprise
+ Communicates with insurance adjusters, witnesses, experts, and external defense counsel in preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
**Data Management:**
+ Responsible for managing all documents, information and exposure data, including property locations and values in risk management system and maintain accuracy for data integrity purposes.
+ Collaborate with team to produce reports, graphs and data to assist departmental needs.
+ Assist with generating data extraction from various sources.
**Legal Affairs:**
+ Researches law, investigates facts, and independently prepares documents to assist internal and external attorneys and Legal Department team members with claim matters, discovery responses, subpoenas management, etc.
+ Organizes and indexes complex case files and insurance renewal applications using claim/insurance management systems.
+ Maintains calendar deadlines to assist in the management of claims, insurance renewals, and carrier notifications and contributes to resolutions of claims.
**Minimum Job Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and/or multi-line insurance training/experience strongly preferred via one of the following:
