As an IPP Coordinator/Lab Analyst, based in Chicago, IL, you’ll join a team of multi-discipline technical experts ensuring that our clients can deliver their products and services uninterrupted. We'll give you the tools to become an expert on the building systems that support our clients' operations and keep their people safe. You’ll grow your expertise to help your team succeed in the safe and time-critical operation maintenance and repair of mission-essential equipment and components including mechanical electrical and general commercial and industrial facilities systems. You’ll be based in West Chicago IL and responsible for the implementation of an industrial pretreatment program and recommendations to ensure regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Tracks and interprets pretreatment program regulations Identifies requirements and responsibilities of POTW and industrial citizens
* Maintains monitoring data and compliance records Maintains current list of industrial users and open communication channels with same Writes and issues discharge permits
* Reviews industrial process changes and needs that may affect discharge to POTW Recommends revisions in local pretreatment regulations and the POTW pretreatment program to keep them current with federal requirements and to meet the process needs of the POTW Conducts and documents inspections
* Schedules and conducts or coordinates sampling for the purpose of compliance and surcharge monitoring Reviews self-monitoring and other monitoring data and determines compliance status
* Develops or provides assistance to client in development of Enforcement Response Plan Develops or assists in development of technically-based local limits
* Provides technical assistance to client in determination of appropriate enforcement actions
* Assists POTW operations department in diagnosing process problems and identifying the source Prepares Annual Report and others as required Performs other duties as required

* BSBA degree Ability to test for an entry-level operator certification in the State of Illinois
* Possess a valid driver's license
Ideally, here’s what you will also have:
* BSBA degree or master's degree in environmental science Chemistry biology or related field
* Proficient in the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word Excel Outlook

The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
