IT Quality Assurance Testing Director - Oracle Financials

As the IT Quality Assurance Director - Oracle Financials, you will be responsible for executing QA testing for Oracle Cloud platform (ERP & EPM systems) and HR systems. You will be leading a team of QA Analysts and Test Automation Engineers (SDET) working within multiple Business UAT teams to plan, execute testing. Your passion for continuous improvement of the QA practice and the desire to remain hands-on in the business functional domain and design of test automation. Key responsibilities for the role:

Establish testing strategy for Oracle Cloud platform (ERP and EPM modules) and associated applications. Has in-depth knowledge of business and technical areas.

Ability to assess testing impact for BAU releases, upgrades and bug fixes and establish Testing Strategy

Very strong in QA processes and testing life cycle. Apply and improve QA processes on projects, ability to customize QA solutions based on project requirement, foster audit readiness for QA deliverables.

Collaborate with stakeholders to review high level business objectives align with test plans, test data needs, and test approach.

Responsible and accountable for the quality of test case management, testing artifacts, test data, test execution, and defect management. Serve as a sounding board and technical advisor for the team. Help team anticipate unforeseen dependencies or gaps early in the SDLC to avoid delays downstream. Embrace a shift left mentality.

Lead SIT test execution and manage UAT testing plan within schedule

Has knowledge of IT controls, SOX and Risk controls applicable to Oracle Financials system

Expertise in Defect management using JIRA or similar tools and managing cycle time

Knowledge of AML systems like Actimize and Workday HR will be added advantage

Establish, monitor, and present key quality assurance metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of the practice. Share metrics with team and use them to drive positive change and behaviors, as needed.

Proactively identify and resolve conflicts that arise between team members, assist with the removal of barriers to delivery, clear all impediments, and escalate as needed.

Advance the maturity of the Quality Assurance practice and processes within the team, maximizing test coverage and use of test automation capabilities, and staying current with new/existing technologies, tools, processes, and standards.

Skills/experience qualifications for the role:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related degree required. Advanced Degree is favorable.

Experience in the financial services industry required with specialization in Oracle Financial Cloud (ERP & EPM), Workday, AML and Actimize systems.

10+ years of progressive Testing and Software Development in Test (SDET) experience with demonstrated understanding of architecture, design, and implementation of test automation frameworks. This includes business requirements interpretation, test planning, expertise in QA processes and metrics development.

Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence, Selenium, UFT).

Effective communication at most levels of the organization required. Must be able to articulate IT strategy, roadmap, project, and continuous improvement goals, progress, and outcomes.

The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000USD to $145,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
