Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves sample preparation, supporting chemists, and performing various testing procedures including proximate, protein, fat, and moisture testing. You will also be responsible for extraction and centrifuging processes.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for testing.Support chemists in the laboratory.Conduct proximate testing.Perform protein testing.Execute fat testing.Carry out moisture testing.Handle extraction processes.Operate centrifuging equipment.Essential SkillsExperience in a production environment.Strong decision-making skills.Proficiency with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).Detail-oriented.Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).Background in laboratory work and chemistry.Experience with sample preparation.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Science OR 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.Proven critical thinking skills.Work Environment
You will be working in a food chemistry lab that tests for nutritional values, contamination, and quality of goods both imported and exported. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential flexibility based on business needs after a three-week intensive training period.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
